Chris J. Roe, CPA/PFS

Chris founded Rx Wealth Advisors to provide insight, support, and financial advice to physicians, helping them maximize their earnings and cultivate more wealth while navigating the ever-changing health industry as pressure from litigation, Medicare, and insurance rises. As a physician-focused advisor, he understands the specific challenges medical doctors are up against and specializes in guiding them to grow the wealth they deserve.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA, home to some of the top hospitals and most renowned physicians in the world, Chris initially planned to enter medical school before developing a keen interest in finance and instead opting to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and credentialed Personal Financial Specialist (PFS).

With more than 20 years of wide-ranging financial advisory experience, Chris and RX Wealth Advisors believes:

Wealth, like health, is a science and an art. Between the diagnosis and the medical intervention, there is a grey area — that’s where critical decision-making comes in. The same goes for your money. Chris knows there is an art to what you and what he does, and that means that the decisions we make together will be different for you than for anyone else.

If you want to challenge him, go for it. That’s one reason he enjoys working with educated professionals — they come with their own thoughts, their own research, and thought-out questions. He takes no offense to the issues or concerns you want to raise and is happy to have an intelligent discussion with you about how this can work for you.

When you serve the person, you serve the wealth. Your wealth is an extension of you; it’s a resource. The best advice doesn’t just serve your money — it supports your well-being and mindset. So, any decisions you make together will be less about sheer market numbers and more about what you can and want to live with and for.

You don’t have to be wealthy to be serious about growing your wealth. Chris doesn’t only work with super-rich, established doctors. He works with professionals at all stages and phases of their career and financial life. Because when it comes to growing wealth, it’s not just about cash — but rather potential.

The Rx Wealth Advisors investment philosophy is rooted in three core principles:

  1. Disciplined approach: Through financial science and heavily-research academic models, they’re able to uncover — and utilize — your wealth’s long-term potential.
  2. No wild guesses. Instead of spending our time guessing which customized portfolio or “hot” stock will outperform, we allow the markets to work for you.
  3. Simple math. We determine the return necessary to achieve your goals; then, we use that number to formulate your optimal risk tolerance.

When he’s not meeting with clients, Chris speaks at industry conferences, contributes to The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Barron’s, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Financial Advisor Magazine, volunteers at The Bradley Center (a residential mental health treatment facility for children), and serves on the Washington County Habitat for Humanity board of directors.
